He’s the reason I first fell in love with creating pet portraits—the quiet moments, the goofy smiles, the loyal eyes, and the unconditional love our pets give so freely. Oliver reminded me how much joy a single photo can hold, and how meaningful it is to capture that feeling in art.
Every portrait I create carries that same intention: to celebrate not just what your pet looks like, but who they are.

Aloha, I’m Katie – artist, animal lover, and Maui transplant.
Pawportraits was born right here on the island, inspired by my own dog Oliver and the incredible personalities of the pets around me. Between my work, my love for the ocean, and my obsession with all things furry, creating pet portraits became the perfect way to combine creativity and heart.
I believe pets aren’t just animals—they’re family. My goal is to capture their spirit, their quirks, and all the little details that make them irreplaceable. Every portrait is created with aloha and a whole lot of love.
